MAKES 26 cookies, give or take a few
ADAPTED from Smitten Kitchen’s peanut butter cookies
INGREDIENTS: 1 1/4 cups of flour, 1/2 cup of brown sugar, 1/2 cup of white sugar, 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder, 3/4 teaspoon of baking soda, 1 egg, 1 stick of butter, 1/4 teaspoon of salt, 1 cup of peanut butter, and a large number of Hershey’s kisses
DIRECTIONS: Preheat oven to 350F. Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl. In another bowl, beat peanut butter and butter into creamy. Add sugar and beat into smooth. Add egg, beat, add milk, beat, add flour in thirds, beating after each addition. Spoon spoonfuls of dough onto two parchment paper covered cookie trays. Flatten slightly with a fork and bake for 10-12 minutes.
In the mean time, remove the tinfoil from the kisses and press one into each warm cookie. They’ll be very soft but will harden slightly after cooling.
NOTES: Finished product was super crumbly…
